Katie was born in Liverpool to an electrician father and a stay at home mum, she was brought up in a very musical family with all of her mothers side being able to sing and play instruments. One of her mother’s earliest memories of Katie is hearing her singing along to Elton John in the back of the car in “perfect tune” at the age of three.

Katie knew that she wanted to sing from very early on and never wanted to be a ballerina or a princess like all the other little girls and started song writing at the age of eleven. She went on to leave college and move to London at 17 to pursue her dream, she worked at a bar most evenings and joined a few bands, started gigging and taking her song writing seriously.

Katie considers herself lucky to have been introduced by her family to such varied genres of music from Bob Dylan to Dolly Parton to Billy Joel, she has taken influence from her eclectic musical upbringing that you can not only hear in her unique voice but also in her writing.

Katie was recently signed to Kid Gloves/Universal and is currently in the studio writing her debut album…..watch this space.
